This model is trying to capture the relationship between the ROC and the urban condition. Also, this model utilised a wide range of materials and techniques in order to show the contrast of the surrounding road and building blocks. The use of inlay timber veneer highlighted the public connections in the site model. Additionally, with the contrast of acrylic block and white building massing, the building is able to distinguish from the others and shows its connection with its urban contexts. The utilization of laser cutting and digital file preparation ensure the model is accurate and reliable. Lastly, few touches on the base installation and sanding the surface provide this model with its professionalism and premium quality.

This concept model is challenged to explore exterior form and interior space at the same time. In order to achieve this outcome, I have developed a base with a sliding mechanism, so that the model is able to split in half for interior view show and retract themselves for exterior view.
A wide range of materials and techniques are incorporated, in order to show the contrast of the surrounding road and building blocks. Externally, the used of laser-cut on veneer and plywood demonstrates the concept of bridge brick arch with details. Internally, the red acrylic blocks brutally illustrated the concept of structural loading and its vertical element within the building. A few details on the skylight of the building, curved wall of the facade and acrylic finish for the sliding base were worthwhile exploring, which elevated its quality and the level of detail. Lastly, in terms of the accuracy of the model, it is ensured by the use of laser cutting and digital file preparation as a reliable source of information.

With a scale of 1 to 20, this model is exploring its construction detail by casting one of the columns. The use of formwork to recess the concrete edges for the brick facade was investigated and demonstrated in this model. Also, the used of Red Grandis hardwood was chosen to represent the brick facade, in order to express the joints between the concrete column and the brick facade. Red Grandis hardwood is carefully and precisely crafted to suit the outline of the concrete column. With the utilization of laser cutting and digital file preparation for the formwork, the model is ensured to be accurate and reliable. Also, few details were considered for the models, such as the assembly of the model, sanding with 1500 grid sandpaper and the detail junction between each element, which enhances its quality and premium appearance.
